Legal
Privacy policy
This policy covers this website and the information you send us through it. It is written to be read rather than to be defended, and it is deliberately short because this site collects very little.
Applications we build and run for customers are governed by the agreement with that customer, not by this policy. If you are a user of an application we operate on a customer's behalf, that customer is the organisation responsible for your data and the right place to send a request.
What we collect
- What you send us. If you fill in the contact form, we receive your name, email address, company, the category you selected, and what you wrote. That is the whole list.
- Ordinary server records. Our host records requests to this site, including IP address, the page requested, and the browser's user-agent string. These are kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting.
We do not run advertising trackers, third-party analytics, or session recording on this site, and we do not set cookies for marketing purposes.
Why we use it
- To reply to you and have the conversation you asked for.
- To keep a record of that conversation in our customer relationship system.
- To keep the site available and defend it against abuse.
We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not use what you send through this form to train models.
Who else is involved
Running a website means some third parties necessarily process data on our behalf. The current list is our hosting provider, our email provider, and our customer relationship system. We can name them on request. Each is bound to use the data only to provide the service to us.
Where it is kept, and for how long
Data associated with this site is stored in Canada. Contact enquiries are retained for as long as the commercial conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards; server records are kept for a short period only.
Your rights
Under Quebec's Law 25, Canada's PIPEDA and — where it applies to you — the GDPR, you can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you;
- correct it if it is wrong;
- give you a copy in a portable format;
- delete it;
- stop using it for a particular purpose.
Write to contact@idea2production.io and we will respond within the period the applicable law requires. You do not need to explain why you are asking.
Security
This site is served over TLS. Enquiry data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access to it is limited to the people who need it to reply to you.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes with it. We will not quietly broaden what we collect.
Contact
Questions, requests or complaints: contact@idea2production.io. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can raise the matter with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
